ABOUT JOY

Founded by Autumn Laskey-Downs, Joy brings together food, yoga and people through events, retreats and shared experiences. It grew from a desire to connect two long-standing practices, cooking and yoga, and to explore how they could sit together in a practical, lived way. At Joy, yoga is a tool for reconnecting with the body and breath, while food is a way to understand where nourishment comes from and how our choices affect the land, farmers and wider food system. Connection sits at the centre of it all, shaping how we eat, move and gather.

In a world dominated by screens and digital pace, Joy creates real-world spaces for people to slow down and meet face to face. We work with organic, local and seasonal plant-based ingredients, partner with local growers, and design events that combine mindful movement, shared meals and conversation. Through community dinners, workshops and retreats, Joy helps people build practical skills, form new connections and experience the value of community. Join us at an event, a retreat, read the book, or get in touch to collaborate and bring a Joy event to your local area.
